A Place Prepared for You

John 14:3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I lost a beloved aunt this weekend. My mother and I visited just hours before she left this world, and we were both touched by the devotion of her only granddaughter. Grandmother and granddaughter are both Christians and that was obvious in what we saw. It was also obvious that although hurting, her granddaughter had peace and was ready for her grandmother to no longer suffer. She broke into prayer at my aunt’s bedside many times. One of the things she prayed was John 14:3. She put my aunt’s name in that verse as she prayed; You have gone to prepare a place for Joann. Wow! That was powerful. But he has gone to prepare a place for ALL of us, but not all of us will go because not all of us have chosen Him. How horrible for you to miss that place prepared for you in Heaven to spend your eternity in a place prepared for the devil and his demons. There is a peace for you in leaving this earth and a place prepared for you in eternity, but you must accept it. You must choose Jesus.
