Stay Prepared for Battle
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1: 14
We must be prepared for the spiritual warfare that surrounds us every day. Some of us are completely oblivious to the fact that there is constant battle in every aspect of our life. Some of us shirk our responsibility of that warfare by blaming all of our bad choices, our sin, on the enemy.

The Bible tells us the enemy wants to destroy us and he is going to and fro to seek who he can devour. Don't be naive to how serious this is. The Bible also tells us that we are drawn away of our own lusts. That's the key to being prepared for battle.
The enemy knows what your weaknesses are. That's WHERE the attack will come. He knows when you are weak, when you are worn down. That's WHEN the attack will come. I often say my first marriage fell apart in the perfect storm. That's true. At a very low point in my life, I was hit in a very weak area. And I wasn't prepared.
Stay in constant prayer in those areas of weakness. Cut out things in your life that contribute to those weaknesses. When we are in the valley, it's not always easy to stay in the Word and in prayer. The stress from whatever we are going through often distracts us. But t
his is when we HAVE to stay in the Word and in prayer. Stay prepared for battle.
