What Will It Take?

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation

Romans 13:2

Jezebel and Ahab saw God move in many ways, but in spite of this, they remained hard hearted and resisted God. They were not humbled by the drought nor impressed with the might miracle on Mt. Carmel. Instead of realizing she served a false god and coming to the True and Living God, Jezebel instead was angry and threated Elijah.

Ahab continued to reject God and finally was led into a fatal battle by a deceiving spirit. Jezebel was thrown from a window, trod on by horses, and eaten by dogs. After these horrific deaths, they face an eternity in hell. Do you think their rebellious spirit was worth it?

Anytime we reject God, we have a spirit of rebellion. What that leads to is not worth it. We have lived through a pandemic, we see more in more evidence daily of a corrupt government, and the world is in chaos. Yet I see people still rejecting God. What will it take?
